Chris sent an email to Steve Jobs, the famous CEO of Apple Computer telling him about Mark’s surgery and to ask him to pray for him. Chris didn’t do this just because he is an Apple fan but also because Steve Jobs is a cancer survivor.
Sure enough, Steve replied to Chris’s email within a matter of hours! He said he would send some prayers out for Mark and wished the whole family well!
How cool is that?! It’s great to have friends in high places and we don’t just mean Steve Jobs! ☺

hi mark and family. mark, i am a friend of fats (mike thornton). you may remember me from a couple of places. first i know we have played golf together at the pines on thursday night in our league and second from the press radio club dinners. remember arnold palmer and joe montana? my name is scott szatkowski or as you know me ,the beast of the east!. when mike told me of your situation i could tell he was really down. i told him i would put you on my prayer list and i did immediately. ( i have a direct line with our LORD and my SAVIOR!) so i have and will be continuing in prayer for you. all is never lost with our GREAT healer, HE is behind it all and most of us ignore that or take it for granted. i will be active in prayer and thoughts for you. if ever you want to talk, just get my cell from mike. i believe you are going to pull through this for many reasons, not the least of which is i want to see you on the golf course again. i do not think i have ever beaten you. i know johnny keymel did a lot ofwork for you before you got home with the dumpster so i know you have many, many caring people looking out for you, but above all keep close to the LORD in prayer and in HIS WORD!!
